Practice Area: Trusts and Estates - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm based in Charlotte is seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney with experience in estate planning, estate administration, charitable planning, and tax planning. Candidates currently enrolled in a Tax LLM program with relevant trusts and estates tax courses will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of prior law firm experience in the trusts and estates area. Duties:Provide legal advice and counsel on estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.Assist with the administration of estates, including probate proceedings and trust administration.Advise clients on charitable planning strategies, including establishing charitable trusts and foundations.Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize estate tax liabilities.Draft and review legal documents related to trusts, estates, and tax planning.Assist clients with wealth preservation and asset protection strategies. Requirements:JD from an accredited law school.1-3 years of prior law firm experience in trusts and estates.Experience in estate planning, estate administration, charitable planning, and tax planning.Candidates currently enrolled in a Tax LLM program with relevant trusts and estates tax courses will also be considered.Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including estate tax laws and probate procedures.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education:JD from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar. Skills:In-depth knowledge of trusts and estates laws and regulations.Strong drafting and negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
