Qualified candidates, please submit a cover letter and resume . **Resumes sent without cover letters will not be considered ** Holland & Sherry is in search of a Rug Sample Librarian/Junior Salesperson to join our team in our New York showroom. This is a full-time, in-person position based in our showroom within the Decoration & Design Building. Our new team member must be personable, highly motivated, and capable of working efficiently on an individual and group level. Our company is rapidly expanding; creating exciting new opportunities for career growth. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of the design/sales industry while on a clear path to Senior Sales. Responsibilities • Upkeep and maintenance of Rug Showroom floor to ensure that displays are fresh and tidy • Upkeep and maintenance of Rug Sample Department to ensure that it is well organized • Labeling of new samples on an as-needed basis • Regular inventory to ensure all samples are readily available to sales team • Assisting Rug Specialists with all aspects of presenting including preparation, note-taking and follow up • Assisting Rug Specialists with order entry, focusing on custom order entry • Assisting clients on showroom floor when Rug Specialist is not available • Internal correspondence with product managers • Internal correspondence with clients via email as needed. Professional email etiquette required. Job Requirements > Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills > Self-sufficient attitude > A positive, can-do attitude > Eagerness to learn and share with others > A respectful, professional and punctual nature > High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and a willingness to learn necessary CRM systems specific to Holland & Sherry ABOUT THE COMPANY: From our inception in 1836, Holland & Sherry has specialized in the finest textiles for the apparel industry.
