Job Title: RF/Microwave Design Engineer Job Location: Lexington MA 02420 Hybrid Onsite Requirements:--- RF Design--- MATLAB--- RF Test equipment experience Job Description:--- The group is seeking a higher-level engineer with 25+ years of experience The successful candidate will participate in the design, simulation, development, and integration of high-performance RF subsystems used in radar, seeker, and EA applications spanning frequencies from VHF through Ka-band.--- These include low noise receivers, frequency converters, exciters, transmitters, and antennasResponsibilities will include but are not limited to system design, component selection, layout, fabrication, and testing.--- In addition to laboratory testing, some field testing and analysis may be requiredAdditional duties will include working closely with fabrication technicians and junior engineers to guide development and testing of RF systems.--- Candidates must have experience designing and testing linear, high dynamic range, wide bandwidth RF receivers and waveform generation systems.--- Frequency bands of operation span VHF through Ka-bandRequired Qualifications:--- Experience with RF receiver design, component selection, layout, fabrication, and testing.--- Experience with RF components and the ability to perform system level trade analysis of issues such as sensitivity, dynamic range, linearity, and spurs.--- Experience using common RF test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.--- Experience with automating RF test measurement using MATLAB.--- Experience using RF simulation software to optimize receiver design.--- Excellent communication skills--- Demonstrated skill in rapid prototyping RF systemsPreferred Qualifications:--- Extensive experience designing, building, and testing receiver and waveform generation systems and subsystems for radars, missile seekers, and electronic warfare systems.--- Analog circuit design Qualification Assessment Must Have Degree Level Bachelor's Degree Yes Experience Antenna Systems 25 years Programming MATLAB 25 years RF/Microwave Active Microwave Circuits 25 years Experience with laboratory RF test equipment (i..e spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.) 25 years On-chip Passive Microwave Component 25 years Passive Microwave Component Design 25 years RF and Analog Systems 25 years RF Receiver Technology 25 years RF Signals (Antennas, EM Propagation and Modeling, Down-Conversion Receivers) 25 years Test Equipment, RF design, Layout, Fabrication, High-Power Amplifiers, Prototyping 25 years Signal Processing Analog and Mixed Signal (especially RF) 25 years Systems Phased Array Radar Systems 5 years Nice to Have Design Analog Circuit Design 0 years ** 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position3rd party subcontractors need not applyThis position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States, directly for an employer, without sponsorship now or anytime in the futureThis client is a US Federal Government contractor and is legally required to hire US CitizensUS Citizens will only be considered for this roleDue to the nature of the work, a United States Government Clearance is required to be eligible for the position**
