JCS Solutions LLC (JCS) is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Managed Print Services (EMPS) project within the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily the Pentagon, Mark Center, and Springfield, VA. The EPMS program provides seamless cost-effective operational support for specific enterprise managed print services capability. Key Responsibilities : Provide Enterprise Managed Print Services (EMPS) support to all facets of installation, operation, device upgrades (i.e., hard drive changes for Secret Internet Protocol Router Network [SIPRNet] to Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network [NIPRNet] transition), software/firmware replacement and upgrades, decommissioning, logistics, monitoring, management, and restoral of devices. Operate and maintain the end-user device configuration management portion of the network printer infrastructure, consisting of loading appropriate device drivers, adding, deleting, and modifying set-up to ensure operation of end-user devices. Submit data port activations to provide connectivity to print devices. The Contractor shall monitor through provisioning and complete installation upon activation of ports. Maintain a software repository of necessary firmware and software. Maintain 100% inventory of all devices managed on the network. Maintain log of all print queues, IP addresses, and serial numbers of all devices with associated print queues. Manage all information in accordance with defined information security parameters and DOD/Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Administer, monitor, and report the status of print queues and print capabilities of customers. Submit requests for port activations to ensure availability of print devices on the network printer infrastructure. Identify, create, configure, and manage current network print queues as necessary to include setup and testing of all print devices to include printers, copiers, multifunctional devices and any other device requiring management through the print server infrastructure. Test end-user network printer and ensure users in the vicinity of the device can print to the device. Upon direction of the Government, set and maintain printers with default settings of “black and white” print and “duplex” output when available and enable the option to select color output for individual print jobs. Provide a monthly report on STIG compliance for all systems (i.e., password setting, simple network management protocol (SNMP) community strings, firmware updates, etc.). Escalate any non-resolvable STIG issues to the Government immediately (i.e., network-related dependencies limiting ability to resolve an issue). Maintain health of network equipment, networking tools and applications. Provide mentoring and technical/engineering advice to junior members. Knowledgeable in security requirements and techniques for protecting computer systems/networks from attacks, viruses, data tampering, unauthorized system entry, and other emerging threats. Continue education/training in disciplines necessary to perform duties. Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a fully adjudicated SECRET DoD Clearance. Experience in Enterprise IT systems and understanding how the deployment of IT equipment fits into the broader IT infrastructure of the organization. Possess a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and domain knowledge to navigate the complexities of IT deployment projects effectively. Bachelor’s degree is required. Four (4) years of program management experience of similar scope, type, and complexity with at least one (1) of the four (4) years with the DoD may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for projects and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. One (1) year experience in Enterprise IT systems and projects Managing and performing integration operations and maintenance activities on multiple system domains of various security classification levels and diverse user bases concurrently. Experience with ServiceNow. Advanced experience and skills using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines with minimal direction at times. Strong interpersonal & communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills. Mastery of Microsoft tools and applications Desired Requirements: Working knowledge of DISA and/or DoD is a plus. Top Secret / SCI Clearance Master's Degree Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
