The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting procedures, and supporting the financial operations of the dealership.Great compensation and benefits:· Base salary $65-85k, depending upon experience.· Employee purchase and service discounts on automotive products.· Paid vacation and holidays.· Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Accident Insurance.· 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan.· Access to state-of-the-art facilities and a professional working environment.Responsibilities:· Prepare accounts receivable statements, reports, and records with a focus on accuracy and completeness.· Conduct vendor tracking and invoice reconciliation as necessary.· Process daily banking deposits and fulfill bank requisitions.· Review sales deals for completeness and accuracy of paperwork.· Post and finalize retail deals and dealer trades efficiently.· Enter and process invoices for payment within designated timelines.· Maintain receivable files, process vendor payments, and manage returned checks.· Ensure timely processing and accuracy of payments and charges.· Generate, review, balance, and interpret financial reports daily and at month-end.· Reconcile discrepancies in reports and investigate accounting issues.Qualifications:· Previous experience in automotive accounting· Minimum of two years of experience in accounting or related field.· Strong multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.· Proficiency in computer software applications including Word, Excel; experience with CDK is a plus.
