Van-Am Defense Systems is a custom manufacturer/fabrication shop located in Waverly, IA. We are seeking strong welding/fabrication candidates to join our outstanding team! We are seeking experienced Welders for TWO SHIFTS. Differential paid for Night shift! Day Shift: 6:00AM - 2:00PM, M-F Night Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00AM, M-F - $2/hr Shift Differential Successful Welders will be responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. This position requires a high level of skill and accuracy, as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a solid work history and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.MIG with some TIG. Carbon and Stainless. Compensation is based upon skill and experience.Welder Responsibilities: Operate welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Use a variety of welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Perform maintenance on welding equipment and tools. Inspect welds for accuracy and quality. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Overtime opportunities available.As part of the hiring process at Van-Am Defense Systems, all candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
