Position Summary This position performs a wide range of duties to safely and efficiently produce precast concrete products of the highest quality standards. Disassembly of forms. All other tasks as assigned. THIS IS A UNION POSITION : SUCCESSFULAPPLICANT WILL BECOME A MEMBER OF THE UNITED STEELWORKERS UNION LOCAL 14581, IF NOT ALREADY A CURRENT MEMBER. Responsibilities Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following: :Produce wood forms and Styrofoam block outs for concrete production using a wide variety of machinery including but not limited to table saws, radial saws, and staple guns:Read shop/engineering drawings and constructs forms per those specifications:Move and assemble forms at pouring sites:Maintain good housekeeping and safety regulations on the shop floor:Other duties may be assigned as neededQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience :Minimum of 6 months experience:Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent):Knowledge of hand tools and power equipment (e.g. table saw, chop saw, miter saw, hand saw, nail gun, hot:wire):Ability and willingness to learn and be trained:Some construction experience preferred:Ability to communicate effectively with team members:Must work safely and be team oriented:Good attendance and positive attitude:Knowledge and skills to use basic tools:Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure:Understands and can apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication and division):Must be 18 years in age or older.:Must pass pre:employment screening.:Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy.:Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co:workers or supervisors with other duties as required.:Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.:Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.:Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
