Summary We are currently seeking a positive, caring and energetic Lead Teacher for our 4 Year Old (Pre-K) class. We are a Learn-through-Play program looking to hire a P/T Lead for a morning class (9:00 - 12:00, or 9:00 - 1:30). If you are dedicated to providing an excellent early childhood education experience through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, then come join our team! While we are a church-based preschool, our students are from all faith, ethnic and language backgrounds. School teachers seeking to balance family needs while continuing to teach - this may be the right fit for you! Duties Create, manage and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students. Maintain a healthy and safe environment. Communicate positively to parents regarding student progress. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and collective/individual interest of its staff and student body. Requirements Strong and positive communication skills - appropriate to children, parents, peers and Director Ability to model positive interactions for children and manage class behavior High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. A strong understanding of child development. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Associate?s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study. OR CDA with 2-3 years of classroom experience Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl. Vision ability.
