Health and Safety Coordinator Wincanton Up to £40,000 pa We are currently seeking a Health and safety lead for a manufacturing site based in Wincanton. The role is instrumental role in pushing the safety culture and elevating the betterment of practices. The Health and Safety lead will be part of the Site Leadership Team Health and Safety Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities: ·Develop and implement the site HSE plan with a focus on culture ·Utilising regional contacts, lead on people development with a clear focus on industry standards ·Provide advice and guidance to the business at all levels ·Taking ownership for developing, implementing and maintaining critical plans, policies and procedures ·Managing HSE records ·Responsible for writing detailed risk backssments and maintaining the risk backssment library accordingly ·Support the HR Department with information in relation to occupational health referrals ·Manage the incident, accident and near miss reporting system and following up actions in a timely manner either directly or through delegation Health and Safety Coordinator Skills and qualifications: ·NEBOSH is essential for this role ·Previous environmental experience is desirable ·Food industry experience is desirable ·Experience of LEAN manufacturing is desirable ·Ability to influence decision makers ·Strong written and verbal communication skills ·Resolution focussed outlook to problem solving ·Able to teach and coach in an understanding manner ·Highly organised approach to working Health and Safety Coordinator Salary ·c£40,000.00 per annum ·Shifts - 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm ·Benefits ·Leave 29 days inc BHs. +1 day at 3 years, +1 day at 5 years ·Pension EE5, ER3 ·Birthday gifts ·Bike to Work Scheme ·Access to Medi Cash Key words - Health and Safety Manager, Heath and Safety Coordinator, HSE Lead, H&S.
