Job Title: Youth Project Manager Grade: 21 Salary: $72,128 - $82,241 The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Youth Project Manager position for the New York State Office of Mental Health's Suicide Prevention Center of New York (SPCNY) as a part of its Albany-based team. The chosen candidate must be a colleague who possesses excellent leadership, writing, presentation, and group facilitation skills, has keen attention to detail and works well in a multidisciplinary team. Preference will be given to Albany-based candidates, but others in in NYS will be considered. The position requires a blend of strong project management skills as well as experience and knowledge in Suicide Prevention best practices. We are looking for an individual who can solve problems and keep complex projects moving forward. The portfolio primarily includes school, youth, and higher education-based projects. The candidate will be developed as a trainer in suicide prevention and school and youth training areas. The chosen candidate must possess proficiency in office management systems, specifically the Microsoft Office Suite as well as virtual meeting platforms including WebEx, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The chosen candidate must also have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent time management and prioritization skills with an ability to organize and manage multiple schedules, tasks and deadlines at once, and the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage, coordinate, and support school, youth and higher education Suicide Prevention projects and other projects as assigned by the director Engage with school districts, assist in school needs assessments and develop recommendations for training and technical assistance. Provide a range of training and technical assistance to school and youth and young adult serving organizations aimed at supporting implementation of evidence-based prevention models across New York State. Assist in the provision of school and youth trainings, including managing logistics and collecting feedback on these SCPNY trainings. Assist with development and roll out of awareness campaigns targeting youth, families, and university students in partnership with the SPCNY communications manager and external partners and strategies for youth uptake. Other duties as assigned by the Director. Some overnight travel required throughout New York State Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work, education or health and human services related fields Three or more years of previous experience in either Youth Education, School Professional development, Project Manager or Public Health Suicide Prevention Implementation.
