The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Workforce and Training is responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of a wide variety of education, technical assistance, learning collaboratives and developmental programs aimed at increasing recruitment, retention, and well-being within community health centers. As part of the workforce initiatives, the SVP oversees state, federal and private-funded programs. A major part of this position is overseeing large multimillion-dollar Student Loan Repayment programs such as MA Repay. Essential Functions: Provides strategic vision and leadership in workforce development initiatives. Oversee multi-million-dollar student loan repayment programs, including risk management, operations, communications, and system design. Partner with community health center leaders to design and implement responsive workforce programming. Oversee workforce training and development annual calendar and lead development and implementation of MLCHC annual conference, board symposium training and other scheduled trainings. Design proposals to meet evolving community health center member training needs in topics such as healthcare workforce, health center operations, leadership, workflow management, use of data and similar topics. Oversee learning design and implementation, instructional processes, and formulate business plans to support education. Administer and oversee program and project evaluation. Review results with MLCHC leadership and report results to funders. With a lens toward building racial equity, incorporate diversity principles in workforce and training programs. Ensure that all training and education sessions have completed evaluations and behavior change assessments. Supervise the evaluation process for appropriate programming for the Mass League. Develop and oversee assigned program and project budgets. Supervise, manage and lead staff within the department. Coach and provide guidance. Conduct evaluation and provide training as needed to ensure staffs continued growth, success and development. Competencies/Skills: Healthcare and/or behavioral healthcare experience Experience with federal and state contracts Experience working with diverse populations Demonstrated focus on planning, designing and delivering programs, events and training related to diversity and inclusion issues Two or more years in a management role Leading, evaluating, coaching, direct reports Ability to coordinate cross-functional groups to accomplish goals Ability to work within a team to meet established project goals and ability to communicate professionally, concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Education/Experience: Master's degree (MBA, MA, or MS) in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related discipline. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development, training, or a related field. Experience with community service, volunteer activities, social services and program development, community health centers, public health programs, and community-based organizations. Knowledge of state and/or federal contracts. Requirements: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear regularly. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time. The employee needs to move inside and outside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, meet with community partners at different sites. The position requires occasionally lifting office products and supplies up to 50 pounds and traveling to various locations for meetings.
